Nurting talent

At Fortune Promoseven, we've always been a very people driven agency. It is the talent that we have at our offices – the people – who make all the difference. Over the years, thousands of successful advertising and marketing careers have been built across our network.

Finding talented advertising people, folks who have a natural creative leaning, people who understand how today's brands work closely with the agency to communicate their message to the consumer, isn't easy. In fact, we're convinced, it's one of the most difficult tasks in our business. Once we find this talent, we believe it's vital to focus on nurturing the talent, helping them grow, building the agency by building the people.

Our HR department works every day towards developing programs and initiatives that help nurture talent across our network. Regular performance reviews ensure that staff understand what is expected of them, how they can grow, how they can contribute to their personal growth, agency growth and the growth of client relationships – whether they be in creative, account management, finance, production or digital.

Ad agencies in our region like to talk about the 'war for talent'. We believe this war can be won by astute recruiting drives where we identify need-to-skillset matches, followed by continuing growth and development opportunities. No matter which position, in which department we're filling, we continuously strive to hire 'innovators' – people who are passionate about what they do everyday, and who are naturally inclined to think outside the proverbial box. These are the people who make a big difference to our industry. The creative who's thinking new mediums, the account service person who is capable of 'blackberry managing' his day, the production guy who understands new technology.

Being a regional network, rather than a 'one-office-boutique' offers our people the opportunity to learn from a wider set of experiences that spread across a wide geography. As well, our McCann Worldgroup links help us learn from global best practices, and our staff have access to a large collection of best practice studies and white papers. Inter office staff sharing, team building fro across the region on pitches, and other cross-geography efforts helps us keep a very cosmopolitan approach to our efforts.

Creative people, by nature, want to learn, to develop, get involved and contribute on a daily basis. We recognize that by creating brainstorming sessions, seminars, workshops, and get them involved in major projects. At Promoseven, the age old idea that the top guy, the Creative Director is the only guy who works on major projects, is a notion that just doesn't fly. Our senior people actively encourage ongoing participation, and are involved in nurturing and building junior, budding talent.

In account management (or client service), exposure to the client, exposure and hands on practice of the day to day is crucial. And no matter, how large the account is (and we do have some very large global ones), every level of staff is exposed and has an opportunity to work on the accounts and to grasp the process.

At Promoseven, we believe that nurturing the talent we have is the only way we can deliver everyday on the task at hand. Talk to us, if you're interested in a career at Promoseven. Please see our careers page for information on how to contact us.
